Snooker And Darts Returns To Ashby Club For First Time Since Lockdown Was Introduced In March

Ashby's Ivanhoe Social Club has been told it can allow snooker and darts to be played there for the first time since lockdown was introduced in March.

But strict Government guidelines mean that will be closely monitored.

The Ivanhoe Club posted details of arrangements on its Facebook page.

"In order to allow play of both Snooker and Darts we MUST follow COVID secure guidelines.

"We have therefore completed a full risk assessment in line with Government requirements and as a result several new protocols will be introduced.

"These include for example:

  • snooker will be permitted on tables 1, 3 and 5 ONLY

* snooker singles games

ONLY will be permitted

  • darts will be allowed ONLY in the lounge

"Complete details of all the procedures in relation to social distancing and cleaning regimes for equipment will be explained in full at time of play.

"The measures being put in place are designed for everyone's safety and must be followed at all times.

"Just to remind all Members the Club opening times currently are: •Lunchtime Evening•Monday to Friday Closed 6pm to 10pm

•Saturdays 12pm to 2pm 6pm to 10pm

•Sundays 12pm to 2pm 7pm to 10pm

"Please also note that there is now increased seating available outdoors part of which is covered.

"We continue to ensure we are operating within Government guidelines for the protection of all Members, guests and staff and encouragingly all feedback from Members after the first three days of reopening has been entirely positive."
