Schoolgirl offered lift by stranger in Measham

A schoolgirl was offered a lift by a stranger in Measham yesterday (Weds).

The approach happened in Atherstone Road, at around 3.20pm.

A Leicestershire Police spokesman told Ashby Nub News: "Shortly before 4pm yesterday we received a report that a 12-year-old girl had been approached by a man in a white Mini in Atherstone Road, Measham.

"The man was not known to the girl, but offered her a lift.

"When the girl declined, the man drove off."
