Statutes will be returning to Ashby from Friday 12 September to Tuesday 16 September. 

Alongside the funfair rides, games and refreshment stalls comes the traffic chaos in Ashby Town Centre every year due to the closing of Market Street for the duration of the event. 

There are multiple road closures and traffic restrictions in place, as well as increased congestion in the town centre due to traffic diversions. This will be especially the case around school pick-up and drop-off times so allowing extra time for journeys during this time is recommended. 

Between 11 and 16 September, Market Street, Brook Street and Bath Street will all be closed. 

There will be a one-way diversion route around the town centre which will be clearly signed, affecting North Street, Wood Street, Lower Church Street, South Street, Bath Street, Derby Road, Elford Street and The Green 

Between 12.01am on Friday 12 September to 9am on Wednesday 17 September, there will be no waiting zones on: 

• Derby Road, 
• Elford Street, 
• North Street, 
• South Street, 
• Bath Street 

There will also be partial no waiting zones on: 

• Lower Church Street, 
• Station Road,  
• Wilfred Place, 
• Trinity Close
