Ashby runner Richard Bebbington is preparing to fulfil his three-year old pledge to run the London Marathon dressed as Mrs Brown.

In 2020, after securing a place in London event, Richard said he would run as the well-known TV comedy character in aid of the Wishes 4 Kids charity.

But when the world stopped due to the global pandemic, Richard completed the 26.2 miles as Mrs Brown, running around his garden and raising much needed funds for the charity.

Richard will run the London Marathon as the TV comedy character

Now, three years on, he will be keeping his 2020 promise and stay in character along the roads of London in his bid to complete the iconic marathon.

Once again, every penny raised will go directly to Wishes 4 Kids, helping to create memories for very ill local children.

To donate please see Mrs Brown's fundraising page HERE.
