Ashby butchers W.Taylor says it hopes to reopen as normal on Thursday (February 4).

The popular Market Street shop said last week that its hours were being affected by those in isolation and resulting staff shortages.

It meant a limited service as there were only two people serving in the shop with no orders being taken.

But this week, the shop's Facebook page said it would be returning to its regular opening hours this week.

Their message reads: "Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding, and for bearing with us!

"Also, your good wishes and messages of support really mean a lot to us- thank you!

"We will be CLOSED on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week, and hopefully open as normal from Thursday, but we will keep you posted!

"The Measham (01530270103)and Appleby shops (01530270551) are open as normal."

Sorry for any inconvenience."
