Ashby Lido is holding one more 'Doggy Splash' session this weekend - so that your pool pooches can have a final dip of the year.

The dog-only swims have proved popular since they were announced last month.

So much so, that the Lido has repeated them into October.

But all good things must come to an end - and this weekend will be the last one for 2024.

Duncan Gibb, Everyone Active's contract manager, told Ashby Nub News: "We are delighted with the success of Doggy Splash at Ashby Leisure Centre and Lido - they have proved hugely popular with the local community and beyond.

"Adding two extra weekends of sessions has allowed us to meet customer demand and ensure our furry friends get the exercise they need, all while having a fantastic time.

"As the last remaining public lido in the East Midlands, we are proud to have evolved our offering in recent years with a new beach feature, cold water sessions and DJ pool parties, with Doggy Splash being our latest success story."

A social media post for the Lido says: "For the last time in 2024 we are going to hold one more weekend of session. This Saturday and Sunday (12th and 13th)."

Session times are:

• 10:00am-11:00am

• 11:30am-12:30am

Ashby Lido

• 1:00pm-2:00pm

• 2:30pm-3:30pm

Prices are: £15 for one adult (18+) and your dog; Family and friends £9

Please remember you must be in the water with your dog at all times.

You can book via the Everyone Active app under 'outdoor pool' or call 01530 412181.
