A suspicious vehicle was reported close to a farm in Lount - leading to an 'unsociable' exchange with North West Leicestershire Police's Rural Crime Team.
The 68 plate grey BMW was spotted last Thursday (April 16) at around 5pm and was not registered locally.
But the occupants of the car were apparently less than pleased at being told to move on by officers.
Current Government guidelines during the Coronavirus crisis say that motorists cannot travel long distances without good reason.
Now Police are calling on the public to let them know of any suspicious vehicles they see in the area.
PC Emma Holmes posted on the Leicestershire Neighbourhood Watch site.
She said: "It has been reported to us that a 68 plate grey BMW was seen hanging around a farm near Lount on 16/04/20 at around 5:00pm.
"The vehicle was some distance from its registered address and when the occupants of the vehicle were asked to leave they weren't overly sociable.
"Please keep alert for suspicious vehicles within your area and don't hesitate to report your concerns."
