Police Raid Moira Address Under Misuse Of Drugs Act

Police raided an address in Moira this morning (Thursday) after executing a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Officers forced an entry at the property in Cherry Tree Court.

A Leicestershire Police spokesman said: "This morning (Thursday 13 August) police executed a warrant at an address in Cherry Tree Close, Moira, under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

"Methadone and a small quantity of cannabis was recovered from the address, along with cash.

"Two men who were present at the address were not arrested but enquiries are continuing."

A post on the North West Leicestershire Facebook page added: "Another Drugs warrant was carried out today by PC White & PC Walker of the Forest Beat Team in the Moira area, this time aided by the Tactical Support Team and neighbourhood officers.

"Drugs and cash seized. #Notonourpatch #inyourcommunity #LeicsPolice."
