Police looking for man after Ashby shop window smashed
By Grace Kennington 9th Jun 2026
Police are asking for help identifying a man following an incident in Ashby town centre in the early hours of Monday 25 May.
Leicestershire Police has shared two images of the man and has asked anyone who knows him to get in contact.
Local business Ashby Toolbox has also shared the images and asked members of the public to come forward.

The Market Street shop said the incident saw its shop window smashed.
In another post on the day of the incident, Ashby Toolbox shared that 'for the second time in just three weeks, our shop window has been smashed'.
'Honestly, we just don't understand how this keeps happening. We work so hard to keep our shop looking welcoming, spending time creating displays and take real pride in making the space something nice for everyone in the community to enjoy.
'Each time something like this happens, it isn't just upsetting, it comes with a real cost to repair and replace, money that would be far better spent improving the shop, supporting the business and continuing to provide the experience we want for our customers.'
Leicestershire Police ask that if you have any information or can identify the man in the photos, to contact Leicestershire Police by phoning 101 and quoting reference number 26000301192 or use the link https://leicspolice.link/3XCdH
