Police Helicopter Used In Search For Missing Ashby Man Jamie

Leicestershire Police have confirmed that a police helicopter was used in the early hours of this morning in the search for missing Ashby man Jamie Buchanan.

Jamie, who is 26, was last seen in the Derby Road area of Ashby at around 2.30pm on Friday.

He was reported missing at around 5pm when he failed to return to his address.

Police questioned people in the area on Friday evening but a National Police Service helicopter was deployed over Ashby just after midnight.

Leicestershire Police have confirmed that it was being used in the search for Jamie.

Police put out an appeal for help on Friday.

Jamie is described as white, 5ft 10ins, of a slim build with curly bushy blondie brown hair. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, orange shorts and sandals.

Officers and Jamie's family are concerned for his welfare and would ask anyone who may have been Jamie or knows where he is to get in contact.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 532 of 26 June.
