Police appeal for information after suspected burglary attempt at home in Ashby

Leicestershire Police are appealing for information following a suspected burglary attempt in Ashby yesterday morning (Wednesday).

Police were contacted by a resident in Churchill Close after the incident which is thought to have happened in the early hours.

Now police are keen to find out more about what happened.

A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said: "A resident in Churchill Close contacted police shortly before 9am to report damage caused to the handle/lock of a door of their property.

"The occupant said they believe that someone may have tried to gain access at around 2.30am.

"We would encourage anyone with information about the incident to get in touch, quoting incident 103 of 2 March."
