Almost 900 'Santas' braved the wintry conditions on Sunday morning for the annual Ashby Santa Fun Run & Walk.

Organised by the Ashby de la Zouch Castle Rotary Club, the event raises thousands of pounds for charity every year.

This year, the chosen charities were Bright Hope, Mee and Dee and Home Start.

An update on the event website says: "Thank you to every body who took part in the 2023 Ashby Santa Fun Run & Walk.

"Despite the cold and very festively snowy conditions, we had a great morning down on the Bath Grounds with such great support from you all turning out despite the weather.

"Even having to make some late adjustments to the course and shortening the routes slightly due to the pavement conditions, there were smiles everywhere. We saw some fantastic festive fancy dress and you all looked amazing!

"We're busily working away now on sorting the money side of things and would be grateful if any of you collected sponsorship money you could get that collected in and brought to us as soon as possible.

"Once we've collected everything in we'll be presenting the cheques to the charities in early January, and then make a formal announcement as to how much money you've all helped us to raise this year."

Here are some photos from Sunday.
