Packington set for new homes as fresh scheme is submitted to North West Leicestershire District Council

More homes are on the way for Packington - if officials back fresh plans.
A 30-home development, in the village could be extended after new proposals were submitted to North West Leicestershire District Council (NWLDC).
Developer Peveril Homes is looking to build a further nine homes in a field at the edge of the village, near Ashby de la Zouch.
These would link up to the homes already built off Normanton Road, with access to the development extension via Century Drive.
They would all be five beds. Garages would be provided for parking, planning documents show.
Peveril Homes said it intended to create a "safe and attractive neighbourhood" which "promotes the well-being of its residents and visitors".
It added the design of the new properties would "reflect the character" of the village and the earlier 30-home development.
A public consultation on the plans is set to run until Wednesday, March 12.
North West Leicestershire District Council has set a target decision date of Tuesday, April 8.
