North West Leicestershire Police investigating cash machine raid at Castle Donington garage

Detectives from Leicestershire Police's Complex Investigation Team (CIT) are conducting enquiries following the theft of cash from an ATM in Castle Donington this morning (Wednesday 15 September).

At around 12.45am the machine at a petrol station in Station Road was struck by a van and cash was taken.

The van - a Ford Transit - but the suspects left the scene prior to officers arriving. No arrests have been made at this time.

Detective Sergeant Douglas Simpson, from the CIT, said: "Our investigation is very much in its early stages and enquiries into the incident are continuing.

"However, I would ask that anyone with information - or dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident - comes forward. Any details you're able to provide could help."
