New figures show exactly how many people living in the Ashby area have had their first Covid jab.

The NHS data also reveals the ages of those who have rolled up their sleeve area by area, allowing people to see how many of their neighbours have had at least one dose.

The numbers are gathered and published in relation to Middle Layer Super Output Areas, or MSOAs – statistical areas with an average population of 7,000 people.

The count includes everyone who had had at least one dose up to and on February 21, with a total of 28,442 being vaccinated in North West Leicestershire.

On Thursday, the Measham Leisure Centre vaccination hub said it was approaching 17,000 patients who had come through the doors since January 14.

The NHS figures showed that 4,106 people in Ashby North and South had been vaccinated.
