New youth hub to open in Ashby this weekend - and aims to 'address the most pressing issues facing young people today'
A new youth hub is set to open in Ashby town centre this weekend.
InspireYouth Collective CIC will hold a grand opening of its InspireYouth Hub on Sunday (January 19).
Located at the heart of the community, the new youth hub has been designed to address the most pressing issues facing young people today, including mental health, social isolation, and a lack of access to skills-building opportunities.
Organisers say it is driven by its core values of empowerment, community, inclusivity, well-being and sustainability, which means the InspireYouth Collective CIC aims to provide a safe and welcoming space for teenagers to connect, grow, and thrive.
The Hub will offer a range of programmes and services, including:
• Mental Health and Well-being Support: Workshops and activities to help tackle anxiety and improve emotional health.
• Health and Fitness Opportunities: Encouraging physical well-being through sports, fitness sessions, and recreational activities.
• Skill-Building Programs: Practical and vocational workshops to equip young people with essential life skills for their future.
Social and Community Activities: A safe, inclusive environment where teenagers can foster friendships and enjoy a sense of belonging.
Free Hot Meals During School Holidays: Supporting families and ensuring that no child goes without a healthy meal.
The InspireYouth Collective CIC team, is led by founding director Emma Armstrong, who has over 23 years of experience working with children, alongside Nikki Foran (Mental Health Support Lead) and Kimberley Jones (Anti-Social Behaviour Advisor).
Together, they believe this hub will have a transformative impact on the local youth and wider community.
Emma said: "Our goal has always been to empower young people, build strong connections, and promote mental and physical well-being.
"The InspireYouth Hub will be a place of growth, learning, and support for teenagers of all backgrounds."
The opening event on Sunday will welcome families, supporters, and members of the community to explore the hub, meet the team and learn about the exciting programmes on offer.
