New trees are planted at Bath Grounds in Ashby thanks to County Council funding

New trees have been planted at Bath Grounds by Ashby de la Zouch Town Council.
With the help of funding from Leicestershire County Council's Treescape Fund, the 20 new trees have now been revealed.
These include: aspen, liquidambar, alder, oak, hornbeam, acer, lime, cherry and downy birch.

"We made a promise to plant a further 19 semi-mature trees in the Bath Grounds over the next year following recommendations in the Bath Ground's 'Tree Strategy', developed by Ian Retson, Ashby Town Council Tree Warden, and the Bath Grounds Advisory Group," the town council said in a post on Facebook.
"We have been fortunate to gain funding with the help of Leicestershire County Council through its Treescape Fund – of which we are very grateful.
"As a result, 20 new trees have been planted in the Bath Grounds.
"We hope you enjoy watching them grow."
