A new restaurant serving Japanese food has been announced to be opening in Ashby.

The announcement came as current owners of the building, La Zouch Coffee House, Restaurant and Wine Cellar, announced they would be finally closing their doors on Sunday 4 October.

As part of this announcement, they confirmed that the building would be taken over by new owners Liza and Sushil, who will be opening Shokudo at La Zouch.

There are currently two Shokudu locations in the area in Litchfield and Tamworth, which serve up highly-rated Japanese food and sushi.
