NatWest announces closure of Ashby Market Street branch as they announce 55 more closures

In a full list published today, NatWest have announced the closure of 55 more high street branches in response to an 'industry-wide shift' towards digital services, including the branch on Market Street in Ashby. These further closures are in addition to 48 branches closed last year, and 20 in 2023.
A NatWest spokesperson said: "Over 80% of our active account holders now use our digital services and over 97% of retail accounts with us are now opened online.
"Our customers appreciate the speed and convenience of digital banking for everyday transactions, and often, when it comes to making bigger, more complex decisions they value speaking to our skilled and experienced colleagues."
Despite these closures, NatWest customers can still visit mobile branches for making deposits, withdrawing cash and paying bills. The Post Office can also be used to pay in and withdraw cash, check your bank balance, and deposit cheques.
