Thousands of festival goers flocked to Feanedock woodland in the National Forest last weekend for Timber Festival.
The event is described as 'a unique forest festival which celebrates the power of nature and encourages us all to live more sustainably'.
Timber says it prides itself on its green credentials, with initiatives including solar-powered phone charging, a ban on single-use plastics, and incentives for audience members who travel to the festival by public transport.
Even the toilets are environmentally friendly - with all of them in the main festival area compost toilets made by local company UK Loos.
The waste is taken to a site in nearby Burton upon Trent where it is turned into fertiliser.
Festival goers enjoyed a packed line-up of live bands, including The Go! Team, Keston Cobblers Club and Katherine Priddy
They also learned about the environment with a programme of fascinating talks and workshops, listened to writers such as Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, found inner peace with yoga sessions and gong baths, as well as dancing in a woodland clearing as DJs played from a treehouse booth.
And new for this year, festival goers enjoyed a unique spa session with an ice plunge pool - which was welcome on Friday as temperatures were the hottest recorded so far this year - plus a woodland sauna.
The organisers quoted an audience member as saying: "Timber is the only festival I can think of where you don't need three days to recover!
"It's so restorative and calming." while another added: "We all agreed that it was an amazing festival.
"The facilities, workshops and the fact there was absolutely no litter was amazing.'
Timber will return to the National Forest from Friday 5-Sunday 7 July 2024, and tickets have already gone on sale HERE with a special Early Bird price just for July.
For the first time, festival goers can choose between three ticket prices based on their current circumstances.
Residents of the National Forest, which covers 200 square miles of Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire, can get a huge 25 per cent off all tickets.
The festival is created by award-winning event producers Wild Rumpus, in partnership with the National Forest Company.
