Mark Sinclair, a Customer Host at M&S's Ashby de la Zouch store, is celebrating his 25^th year working for the high-street retailer.

Starting his career in 1999 at the M&S Princess Park Store in Sutton Coldfield as a Christmas temp, Mark did not predict the role would be the start of a lifelong career with the retailer.

Over 25 years, he has worked in various areas in-store including Foods, Store Operations and In-store Bakery.

Since 2018, Mark has been a fixture of the Ashby-de-la-Zouch store on Smithy Road as a Customer Host.

He recently joined other colleagues from across M&S celebrating similar career milestones for a celebration in London, where CEO Stuart Machin thanked them for their service.

Mark said: "Many of our customers have been in just to congratulate me, which has been overwhelming, but fantastic.

"I love working at the store and being a Customer Host is my favourite role yet, speaking to customers throughout the day and problem-solving. It's the perfect fit for me.

"During Covid, I was a door host at Ashby, ensuring trolleys and baskets were kept clean and managing the queueing system.

"Many customers still tell me how much our chats and laughs helped them through that time, which I find very humbling.

"Receiving my 25-year certificate from Stuart Machin recently, along with my gift card and 25-year badge, was amazing and a real standout of my career."
