Six fire engines tackled a blaze on a housing estate Measham on Tuesday afternoon.

Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service warned residents in the town to keep their doors and windows closed with smoke swirling around the area.

The fire was at a property in Buzzard Close off Wigeon Drive.

A number of police vehicles were also on the scene at around 4pm.

A video seen by Ashby Nub News appears to show the roof of the property completely burnt out and fire crews working into the evening to try and fully extinguish the blaze.
