Man suffers broken jaw after being punched in face during Ashby town centre incident - police issue appeal

A man's jaw was broken after being punched during a new year's assault.

Leicestershire Police have issued CCTV photos of two people (below) they want to trace following the incident during the early hours of January 1.

The injury was suffered at what police describe as 'a premises in Market Street' - but the exact location has not been revealed.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "Images have been issued of two people officers wish to identify and trace after a man was assaulted in Ashby town centre on New Year's Day.

"Sometime around 1am (January 1) the 33-year-old victim was punched in the face inside a premises in Market Street.

"He was taken to hospital with a broken jaw and discharged the next day after treatment.

"Anyone who recognises the men in the images or has any suspicions about who they may be is asked to get in touch.

"Contact PC 523 Adam O'Donnell on 101 or via HERE quoting crime number 25*014203."
