A man has been found dead inside a room at a popular Ashby hotel.
The man in his 30s is believed to have been discovered at the Premier Inn - which is situated close to the McDonald's takeaway in Lountside, next to the junction with the A42 carriageway.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "Shortly before 1pm on Saturday, August 5, police attended a hotel in Lountside, Ashby, to carry out enquiries relating to concerns for the welfare of a man.
"Officers attended and found a man in his 30s dead inside a room.
"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a file is being prepared for HM Coroner."
