Man Arrested By Police In Measham Drugs Raid

A man was arrested for drugs offences this morning (Thursday) after a Measham property was raided by police.

Officers executed a search warrant at The Croft under the Misuse of Drugs Act after being alerted by members of the local community.

A Leicestershire Police spokeswoman said: "Warrant executed at The Croft, Measham.

"A 27-year-old man arrested for possession with intent to supply class A and B - remains in custody.

"We were acting after concerns raised by the community."

North West Leicestershire Police also posted a message on social media which reads: "Local Officers have executed a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act in Measham this morning.

"A quantity of drugs have been recovered and one male arrested.  #AlwaysListening #InYourCommunity".

Insp Rich Jackson, NPA Commander for North West Leicestershire, tweeted: "Based on information supplied, latest warrant executed in Measham by your local team.

"Cannabis and cocaine recovered and a suspect arrested. More enforcement to follow....."
