A Lunar new year story trail has been launched this February for the half term in Ashby.

It is aimed at celebrating the start of the Year of the Dragon.

Stuart Benson, BID Manager at Love Ashby said: "It's great that the businesses have got together to fund a geo-gaming activity like this, to create a nice day out for all the family, by giving a unique fun experience and a reason to come into town."

The safari allows you to search for mythical dragons by visiting locations around Ashby and collecting 10 lunar dragons.

When you find a poster, scan the QR code to bring the creature to life, have a little fun with each dragon and get your picture taken with it.

It will automatically be added to your collection.

Once all 10 are found, you will be rewarded with a free e-book, which tells the story of your quest and a completion certificate.

Lunar Trail points can be found at Colinette's Bargain Buys, Rushton's Yard Cocktail Bar, Ashby Leisure Centre and Lido, Christian Rose Violins, Ar Mobiles & Technology, Dolce Cafe, Hispania Restaurant, Ask Italian and fair2all.

Download the map HERE.

The safari works by using contactless technology and QR codes, make sure to have 'scan QR code' set to on, open your camera, point at the QR code, tap and play.
