Lorry in collision with car at busy Ashby junction

Police, fire service and ambulance were called a collision between a lorry and a car in Ashby this morning (Tuesday).

The collision happened when the HGV was turning into Dents Road from the Nottingham Road.

The car was leaving Dents Road and the lorry appeared to hit the side of the vehicle.

But no-one was injured as a result.

Ashby Fire Station posted photos of the incident on their Facebook page.

A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said: "Just before 9am today (Tuesday 30 March) officers were called to a report of a collision involving a car and a lorry.

"It happened at the junction of Dents Road and Nottingham Road in Ashby.

"Police attended along with colleagues from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and the East Midlands Ambulance Service.

"No injuries were reported."
