Leicestershire Action for Mental Health Project (LAMP) - a small mental health charity dedicated to providing support for adults - has announced its upcoming Christmas campaign,

As the holiday season approaches, '500 hours of Mental Wellbeing', will centre around the notion of giving the gift of better mental health.

While Christmas is the most enjoyable time of the year for many, it is also understood that, for people suffering from mental health problems, the festive season can be the loneliest and most hopeless time of the year.

LAMP is aiming to raise £37,500 to fund 500 hours, or gifts, of physical, emotional and mental wellbeing to support those in the community.

Gifts could include a series of funded counselling sessions, access to physical health therapy, respite days for carers or a theatre trip for a family with neurodivergent children.

A single £75 donation would fund a full hour of wellbeing, it is understood that Christmas can be financially tight for many.

Those wanting to make a smaller donation can also give the price of a hot chocolate.

Anyone wanting to get involved can find a JustGiving link HERE.

Additional fundraising packs with ideas of individual and group fundraising ideas can be requested via email at [email protected].
