A hybrid jobs fair giving people the chance to browse vacancies from their own home - or face-to-face - returns this week.

Following successful events in 2022, North West Leicestershire District Council (NWLDC) has teamed up again with Leicester Employment Hub, Jobcentre Plus and the SMB College Group to showcase a range of job opportunities, apprenticeships, training and self-employment roles.

The virtual jobs and skills fair runs from today (Tuesday, May 16) until Monday, May 29, at midnight.

Job seekers can browse over 100 roles and opportunities for free from anywhere, day or night, with the option to apply and contact employers directly.

Over 160 roles are available, from organisations including:

Opportunities will be available HERE.

The in-person event will be held next Tuesday (May 23) at Stephenson Campus in Coalville between 2pm and 5pm.

The free event is open to people of all ages, whatever their employment status, allowing attendees to speak with recruiters face-to-face about their current employment goals.

There is no need to sign up or book a place, and those interested can turn up on the day.

More than 20 local businesses, with 200 roles and opportunities, will be on hand to discuss the opportunities available, including:

Paul Wheatley, Head of Economic Regeneration at North West Leicestershire District Council, said: "There are thousands of businesses in North West Leicestershire, and we know there are some amazing opportunities out there for anyone looking for a new role or challenge.

"Our first hybrid event in September 2022 was a great success, and introduced employers to many job seekers, so we are delighted to once again work with partners to deliver it.

"We hope the option of meeting employers face-to-face and browsing vacancies from home offers something for everyone."
