James Dean Events Says Work To Start On 'Giant' Local Coronavirus Testing Facility After Completing Swadlincote Centre

The Swadlincote man whose company helped build a Covid-19 assessment centre in the town says he will now be starting work on a 'giant new testing site' in South Derbyshire on Tuesday morning.
Jimmy Dean's James Dean Events Company, based in Woodville, donated their festival equipment for free to build the new NHS assessment centre which is now up and running next to Swadlincote Bus Station off Civic Way.

That is a drive-through facility to assess the symptoms of Coronavirus.
But Jimmy posted a video on Facebook on Friday morning to reveal his company are moving on to a new project to help the NHS in the fight against Covid-19.
He says there will be a new centre for testing - not just assessment - at an as yet un-named venue in the district, with work beginning on Tuesday.
The company have already shown how quickly the facilities can be set up.
And he also revealed that army planners have asked him to work on other sites.
Jimmy's video message says: "The Swadlincote site is ready to go and start assessing patients.
"We're keeping people out of hospital and saving people's lives.
'The army, military, have asked me to work on more sites, so I'll definitely jump at that.
"On Tuesday morning, we're going to be setting up a giant new testing site, testing it for it not assessing.
"I can't tell you exactly where, what I can tell you is it's going to be a testing site that'll really help speed along how people get tested, so we can get rid of this disgusting virus.
"Tuesday morning - we'll be back at it, and it's also my birthday."
But Jimmy also says he has had no shortage of help from people volunteering their services.
He added: "Thank you everyone who've not only donated time and resources and everything else.
"But also the literally hundreds of people who've sent me messages asking how they can help.
"It's an unbeatable feeling and Swadlincote should be proud. Happy Easter."
