Heather residents have been given an extra incentive to create a design for this year's Scarecrow Festival.

The annual event attracts thousands of visitors during an August week which sees inventive scarecrow designs on display outside people's homes.

But for the 2025 festival, all the households that create a scarecrow will be given tickets for the Back 2 Festival at Cattows Farm in August.

Proceeds from the scarecrow week, from August 3-10, go towards raising funds for the village.

The organisers posted details of the offer on social media and said: 'We're excited to share with you that James Dean Events has kindly agreed to give every household that enters a Scarecrow in this year's festival, day tickets (Saturday or Sunday) for four people to the Back 2 Festival taking place at Cattows Farm, August 7-10.

"So folks, get your thinking caps on and start planning your scarecrows.

"We need resident support to continue our fantastic event, which raises much-needed funds for our village!"

Organisers say the Back 2 Festival is returning to its original home this year.

The official website explains: "We're taking a trip down memory lane, bringing you all your favourite cheesy artists from the 80s, 90s, and 00s for a weekend packed with nostalgia, great vibes and unforgettable hits.

"Cattows Farm, with its stunning countryside setting, holds a special place in our hearts as the birthplace of Back 2 Festival.

"It's where the iconic event first took shape, capturing the spirit of the greatest decades in music and bringing together fans for an epic celebration of the past. Now, we're returning to those roots, recreating that unique atmosphere that made the festival such a hit.

"Prepare to sing your heart out to the anthems that defined your youth, from the classic pop hits of the 80s to the dancefloor fillers of the 90s and the unforgettable bangers of the 00s. Whether you were a teen dancing to Steps, singing along to Take That, or raving to the sounds of Vengaboys, there's something for everyone."

Join us as we turn back the clock and relive the golden eras of music with all the glitz, glam, and guilty pleasures that made them unforgettable.
