Mountpark - supported by The National Forest and Nicholson's - is running a free Easter Trail at St. Peter's Wood in Hartshorne near Ashby.
Residents of all ages are invited to hop down to the 53-acre woodland over the Easter break to hunt for hidden letters and unscramble two seasonal words.
Rach Clarke, development director for Mountpark, said: "This is a great chance to burn off Easter chocolate doing something fun in the fresh air.
"Simply grab a pen or pencil and your wellies, collect an activity sheet at the entrance to the woodland and go in search of the hidden letters.
"There's no better reward than being outside in nature as Spring unfolds and we hope visitors will enjoy observing the many seasonal changes underway at St. Peter's Wood.
"Look for Blackthorn, one of the first trees to blossom into flower, listen out for wonderful warblers and see if you can spot early emerging moths and butterflies."
St. Peter's Wood is described as a truly multi-functional area showcasing a variety of woodland types and structures.
The site incorporates parkland plus walking and cycling trails, alongside allowing some areas to naturally colonise.
To enhance biodiversity the land also includes wet woodland and wetland scrapes, along with diverse wildflowers, pollen and seed sources, and grassland habitats.
Free parking - just a short walk from the entrance to St. Peter's Wood - is available at Dethick Hall on Manchester Lane, DE11 7BE.
Walk left out of the car park and take the first left up Slack Lane.
The entrance to St. Peter's Wood is along Slack Lane on the right-hand side.
Dogs are welcome at the woodland and visitors are asked to take all litter home to protect the wildlife.
Further information and seasonal updates can be found at St. Peter's Wood's social channels on Facebook and Instagram.
