Hare corsing suspects 'lose control of vehicle' and end up in village river bed - as police issue warning

North-West Leicestershire Police have recovered a vehicle suspected of being involved in hare coursing.

The police say that information provided by members of the public led to the it being located in Breedon on the Hill.

A Silver Mercedes had lost control while driving around a local farmer's field - and ended up getting stuck in a river bed.

Police have issued an online reminder to say that hare coursing is illegal.

North West Leicestershire Police said: "Those committing this crime will get caught.

"If you have any information regarding this, or any other crime. Please report it.

"Your information is invaluable and will lead to criminals getting caught."
