Gallery: Ashby Sport Fun Day 2025

Ashby Sport Fun Day made a triumphant return for 2025 on Ashby Bath Grounds, attracting local people to meet and get involved with Sports teams and groups from in and around Ashby.
The event, which was launched by Helen and Kenny Horn in March 2023, was a brilliant showcase of the wide variety of sports on offer in the area and demonstrates a vital collaboration between Ashby Town Council, Ashby Sport and the community.

Local MP Amanda Hack was one of an estimated 3,000 people who visited the Fun Day. She said: "Fantastic to pop down to Ashby Sport this morning. It's really important we support all our community sports clubs across North West Leicestershire. Lots of chats about facilities and the hard work that all the volunteers put in to keep the wonderful clubs available for all!"

Speaking about the event, Councillor Kenny Horn of Ashby Town and District Council said: "Once again, the Ashby Sport Fun Day was a fantastic event with an estimated 3,000 young people and parents enjoying over 20 clubs and associations with many participating clubs reporting record enquiries.

"The event does exactly what it was create to do - to encourage participation and to improve health and wellbeing.

"Special thanks to Ashby Town Councils, the sponsors Kangaroo UK, to all the clubs and volunteers and, most of all, the people of the local community who always support these events in large numbers. Thank you everyone."
