Ashby Nub News is proud to announce that Fishers Solicitors have become our primary sponsor.

This will enable Nub News to produce the latest news and opinion from our town.

As a company, Fishers is very proud of its long history which stretches back for more than a century, having spent over 150 years on Kilwardby Street in Ashby's town centre.

It has a leading team of lawyers which has gained an enviable reputation in the Midlands, having guided several generations through their legal affairs and helped them achieve its goals.

After Fishers' recent move to the Ivanhoe Business Park, the solicitors is expanding at rapid rates and it set to achieve much more in 2020.

Fishers has an in-depth understanding of the region and has built a network of valuable links within the community for the advantage of our clients.

And the company is keen to support a free, independent local news service like Nub News.

Fishers director Amanda Payne Said: "We are keen to share more of what we do with the local community, and what better way to do that than with Nub News? It quickly became very clear that their passion for delivering great service is the same as ours.

"The most important person at Fishers is you. We work hard to understand your specific legal needs – and provide advice that will work for you. Whether you need help in your business life or your private life, we're here to deliver swift and effective results

"We believe that prevention is always better than cure. Preparing for the future - whether this entails creating a will, advising you through a house purchase or sale, drafting a trust or drawing up a pre-nuptial or post-nuptial agreement - is an important method of protecting the personal interests of our clients.

"Fishers is the law firm of choice for a diverse spectrum of Midlands based businesses, from IT start-ups to established regional companies and national property developers. Our specialist solicitors can provide advice on a full range of business matters, including employment law and HR, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts and disputes."

Nub News CEO, Karl Hancock, said:  "Fishers is an ideal partner to work with because, like Nub News, the local community is at the heart of what it does.

"Without companies like Fishers, we wouldn't be able to survive. This sponsorship enables us to provide news and what's on listings without any of the annoying Google Ads, pop-up surveys and clickbait you find on so many other websites owned by bigger companies.

"We also provide classifieds, property, jobs and live travel. Soon, we will be offering sports, obituaries and much more as we continue to grow."

Ashby Nub News is unique in that it lets you self-publish using the "Nub It" buttons found on the home page for news and what's on page for event listings. If you would like more information email the editor, [email protected].
