Organisers of the Street Treats and Beats event in Ashby are staging an 'Epic Weekender' in August.

Described as their 'biggest event of the year', it will be held over two days, on August 30-31.

Previously, it has been a food festival - with a series of events last year in Ashby - but now it will feature a string of tribute bands as well.

Lined up to play so far are:

• The Jam Project - The jam

• After Monkeys - Arctic Monkeys

• Abalicious - ABBA

• Vicky Elise - Dolly Parton

• Daniel East as Ed Sheeran

Street Treats and Beats says it will be offering: 'Top-Tier street food, featuring mouth-watering dishes from some of the best vendors around.

The weekend also features rides and inflatables with the emphasis on it being a family event.

Craft stalls and dancers are also promised.

The first ticket releases have already gone on sale - and the organisers say they will be keeping ticket prices low to make this an event everyone can enjoy. Further updates on the Epic Weekender are planned.
