Motorists can expect delays on Wood Street in Ashby for two weeks - starting this Saturday.

Works will be starting on April 1 as part of the new Money Hill development - and are expected to last until April 15.

Leicestershire County Council Highways says that a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Construction by BT Openreach, Virgin Media and National Grid Electricity Distribution on behalf of Taylor Wimpey and Bloor Homes.

This is due to the construction of a new junction, and utility diversions.

A temporary prohibition of waiting and loading at any time will come into place on Wood Street from its junction with Nottingham Road for approximately 50 metres towards the town centre, and on Nottingham Road from its junction with Wood Street for approximately 50 metres towards the A511

These works also require the use of temporary traffic signals.

The new Money Hill estate will have an entrance from Nottingham Road as well the already-constructed junction off the A511 Ashby by-pass.
