Ashby Film Nights has cancelled Wednesday's planned showing as a results of the Coronavirus spread.

They had been due to hold the screening at the Lyric Rooms in Lower Church Street.

Wednesday night's showing was to have been Late Night with a 7.30pm start.

But Ashby Film Nights posted a message online on Friday which read: "In light of the latest coronavirus developments, we have decided to cancel the screening of Late Night on Wednesday, March 18.

What Ashby Needs To Know About Coronavirus

"We have taken this decision very reluctantly and apologise for any disappointment this will cause to those of you who come to support our films.

"If anyone has already bought a ticket, you can either get a refund or hold onto it to use for any of our future screenings.

"Please check back on this Facebook page for an update on whether our April film will go ahead as planned. Thanks for your understanding."
