Leicestershire Police has issued a warning about attending events such as car boot sales.

With many attractions shut today, along pubs and restaurants, Police are making it clear that the Government measures are designed to stop large gatherings of people.

A police statement read: "We have become aware of public venues such as car boot sales are taking place today (Sunday).

"We recommend that to minimise the risk to members of the public, especially those who are at higher risk not to attend venues where there is a large gathering of people."
