After running for over 80 years, the Charnwood Women's Luncheon Club has closed.

With the closure, members decided to donate remaining funds to three local causes.

On Thursday 16 October, CWLC committee members presented cheques of £500 each to local Rainbows, LOROS and Bright Hope House.

LOROS is a hospice care charity that provides free, high-quality, compassionate care and support for terminally ill patients, their families and carers across Leicestershire and Rutland.

Bright Hope House, which is situated just outside Coalville, provides a range of therapeutic and social care services in North West Leicestershire. They work to support individuals who have a life limiting condition or one that leads to a significant reduction in quality of life, as well as offering support for their loved ones.

Donations like these from CWLC help local groups and causes like these to keep giving the support they need.
