The club said: "The Owls spent an afternoon away from the training pitch on Wednesday to take up clay pigeon shooting as part of a team bonding experience.

"The squad are currently based at Loughborough University for a week-long camp to prepare for the upcoming season, at the end of which they face Premier League Leicester City in a friendly.

"After an intense first few days of training and gym work, the Owls were given the afternoon to enjoy a change of scenery and try their hand at the shooting range.

"Run by Field Sport UK, the staff and players took part in clay pigeon shooting as well as a 'zombie' target practice session.

"Wednesday return to the training field on Thursday and Friday before their 12.00pm clash with the Foxes at the Loughborough University Stadium on Saturday.

Yorkshire Live quoted Kelly as saying: "They were absolutely brilliant. They were extremely polite and really well mannered.

"It was a pleasure to host them and they all had some great fun. We really appreciated them coming down to our family run business.

"It was nice that they got a reward because they have been working really hard at Loughborough training. It was good for them to get out for a bit of a blast.

"We had some really good feedback from them. They all really enjoyed it and thanked us.

"Some of them were saying they may come back with families and friends so that's a good result for us.

"I know they're athletes but their hand eye co-ordination was absolutely fantastic, hence the high scores. They did really well.

"Everyone's scores were all above average and very, very good. There wasn't anyone that struggled."

"It's brilliant for us when we have any well established football team or celebrities that come to our family run business.

"We have all just been through a pretty difficult time and we are all feeling a little bit disjointed in one way or another so it's nice to be able to get back together and have a bit of a laugh.

"It's really important everyone socialises, not just in a sports person's life but in everyone's life."
