Ashby's Castle Medical Group says one of the reasons people have yet to be invited for their Covid vaccination is that the Measham hub 'has not had the deliveries it was expecting'.

The Burton Road-based health centre posted on its Facebook page on Monday updating patients on the situation.

And it made it clear that the North West Leicestershire vaccination centre at Measham has no control over vaccine deliveries and did not get a scheduled delivery.

Ashby Nub News has contacted various health authorities for more details but has yet to receive an official comment.

The Castle Medical Group post reads: "Patient notice regarding Covid vaccination invites

"We are getting increasing contact from patients asking why they haven't been invited for their vaccination yet and would like to update you on this as we know this is of real concern to you.

"Our local vaccination hub at Measham has not had the vaccine deliveries they were expecting.

"They are part of a National and Regional delivery model therefore they have no control over when the vaccine will come in; there are sometimes national supply issues too.

"We would really like to thank you for your patience, but our vaccination clinic deliveries are nationally co-ordinated and we only get informed of the deliveries shortly beforehand.

"We would like to reassure you that you will be contacted.

"This will happen via text message as long as we have an up to date mobile number and consent for us to text you."
