Call for casual bin crew staff made by council following recent industrial action

North West Leicestershire District Council has issued an appeal for casual bin crew staff to as a result of recent industrial action.

A social media post says: "Can you work as a casual waste crew member?

"Industrial action by some members of our waste crews is affecting all bin and container collections.

"Missed collections are being done on Saturdays and Mondays."

Areas close to Ashby de la Zouch and Coalville have been affected in recent weeks.

The call for staff details salary and hours of work.

• Mondays and Saturdays, 6am – 3.45pm

• All training and equipment provided

• Must be fit and able to walk long distances

• £11.41 - £14.74 per hour (depending on role)
