Bull Fest 2026: Ashby pub to hold festival raising money for children's hospice
By Grace Kennington 15th Jun 2026
A popular Ashby pub is holding a day festival, with live music, entertainment, food and community spirit, raising funds for a local children's charity.
The Bulls Head is holding the first ever 'Bull Fest' on Saturday 20 June, which will be a free to attend community event with family-friendly entertainment and activities, food, live music and a princess meet and greet.
The event is raising money for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, charity offering children's hospice care across the East Midlands.
Rainbow Hospice provides expert palliative and end-of-life care of babies, children and young people at their hospice, at home and in-hospital as well as supporting families across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire.
All the proceeds from face painting, the charity raffle, donations and additional fundraising activities will be donated to Rainbows Hospice.
On the day, Bull Fest will have live music all day from 2pm, with a great line-up of local talent throughout the day and into the evening.
There will also be the opportunity for a princess meet-and-greet, plaster figure painting from Childhood Dreams Parties, face painting with Fantastik Faces, a craft tent and kids zone, stilt walkers and roaming entertainment, a bouncy castle, BBQ and jacket potato stand.
The event has been funded by Sam and Selina, so will be free to attend for everyone to raise as much money possible for the Rainbow Hospice.
