In the separate incidents, a BMW car and tools were stolen from properties in the village.

The Ashby Beat Team reported the thefts via their Neighbourhood Link newsletter today (Sunday).

It says: "Unfortunately we have had two burglaries in Packington recently.

"A BMW X5 was stolen using keys taken from the property.

"Entry was gained employing the lock snack method to a patio door."

The team also described the second incident and said: "Between 20:30 hours on July 12 and 06:00 hours on July 13 a property under renovation was entered on Vicarage Lane.
