Bloor Homes has announced that its development at Money Hill will be called Ashby Fields.

The Measham-based homebuilder says that a showhome will be available to view early next year as part of a 300-plus development between the Ashby A511 bypass and Nottingham Road.

Houses available will range from two-bed to five-bed homes.

Taylor Wimpey has already flagged up plans for its Castle Manor estate - with the two companies combining to complete a 605-house newbuild.

A spokesperson for Bloor Homes told Ashby Nub News: "Bloor Homes' signage is now up promoting the new two, three, four and five-bedroom homes at its Ashby Fields development of 303 homes.

"While the development will officially launch in Winter 2023, prospective purchasers can register their interest now via the Ashby Fields page at Bloor Homes' website HERE and be the first to hear about development news and offers.

"The page also has useful information about the local amenities and layout of the new development. The new showhomes and sales centre will launch in early 2024."

Bloor describes Ashby to prospective newcomers on its Ashby Fields web page.

It says: "Open air markets, independent shops, an historic castle, and a calendar full of art and food festivals – life in Ashby de la Zouch is as vibrant or as laid back as you want it.

"Located in the National Forest, Ashby is a thriving 12th century market town with breath-taking backdrops, timber-framed buildings, and a range of outdoor pursuits. Walking, cycling, horse-riding are all on the agenda when you move here.

"Ashby is served by fantastic local amenities including organic markets, schools, a leisure centre, and some excellent independent shops.

"But Ashby Fields is going to be so much more than just a development. Here you'll find a community ready to welcome you, with plans for a new primary school and a local retail centre.

"There are plenty of open green spaces to explore within Ashby Fields itself, as well new footpaths and bus routes that will easily connect you to nearby areas via the A511 and A42."
