Ben Fogle Inspires Pupils at Packington C of E Primary School
Packington CofE Primary School students had a surprise treat this week when adventurer, broadcaster, and environmental advocate Ben Fogle made an unexpected visit.
Ben, known for his daring exploits and passion for the environment, had been visiting Hill Farm nearby when he decided to stop by the school near Ashby.
His visit turned out to be a highlight for pupils, who were captivated by stories of his extraordinary adventures.
During his time with the students, Ben shared tales of climbing Mount Everest, swimming with crocodiles, and his efforts to protect the planet.
The pupils listened intently as he recounted the challenges he has faced and the lessons he has learned throughout his career.
The school's Eco Warriors particularly impressed Ben with their dedication to sustainability and the innovative projects they have led.
He praised the group for their environmental efforts, which include creating eco-friendly initiatives around the school grounds.
The visit concluded with a lively Q&A session, where students had the chance to ask Ben about his adventures, his inspirations, and how he stays motivated in the face of challenges.
His answers encouraged the children to think big and consider how they, too, can make a difference.
Headteacher Ruth Burton expressed gratitude for the visit.
She said: "We are so thankful to Ben Fogle for stopping by.
"His stories and insights have inspired our students to embrace adventure, show courage, and care deeply for the world around them. It was an unforgettable day that will stay with them for years to come."
Packington CofE Primary School says this visit was another example of the exciting and enriching experiences offered to pupils.
