Ashby's new Centivo Lounge is set to open its doors to the public next week - with a promise to play a part in the local community.

The cafe/bar will be in the former HSBC Bank building in Market Street and is part of the West Country-based Loungers plc group

It is open next Wednesday, January 17, the nationwide chain says it has transformed the historic building, with heavily patterned wallpapers, tiling and stripped wooden floors featuring alongside oversized vintage sofas, upholstered lounge chairs, eclectic artwork and statement wall and pendant lighting.

Loungers says there will be a variety of cosy and elegant drinking and dining areas to choose from.

Centivo Lounge aims to cater for all tastes throughout the day with a varied and "innovative" all-day menu.

The cafe/bar says it is ideal for coffee with friends, a long lazy brunch with family or a relaxed dinner and drinks.

Centivo has an all-day menu with everything from tapas and salads to burgers and buttermilk fried chicken.

Vegans and those favouring a gluten-free diet can choose from their own menus.

The venue also aims to be family friendly, with a selection of games, books, colouring pencils and pads on offer.

A full menu, high chairs and baby-changing facilities are also available for 'Little Loungers'.

"Our Lounges strive to put community at the heart of hospitality and our teams always go the extra mile to make a difference.

"They are actively encouraged to connect with their communities by working with local groups, charities, organisations and businesses that are at the heart of the fabric of local life.

"We are very much looking forward to welcoming local residents to Centivo Lounge."
