Ashby's Lyric Rooms has announced its Autumn programme - and there is a wide range of events to choose from.

From a Psychic Night to an Octoberfest evening - with shows for the youngsters in between - the Lower Church Street venue is offering a variety of attractions now that the nights are drawing in again.

Next Thursday (September 28) sees the Lyric Rooms hosting a Psychic Night with Rebecca Stretton.

It is described as an evening of mediumship like no other, with a two course meal.

This is not a show, it is an intimate evening where medium, Rebecca, will do personal table visits to as many individuals as she is able.

Rebecca is a well known local medium and owner of the Broom Closet - a metaphysical supply shop in Newhall. 

She has been practicing mediumship professionally for seven years. But the evening may contain strong language.

The following Saturday (September 30), the Lyric Rooms has a Disney Princess Afternoon Tea - with special guest Princesses, The Snow Queen & Rapunzel.

Your afternoon tea will be served using the Lyric Rooms' very own beautiful vintage afternoon tea sets, table cloths and bunting with a delicious selection of sandwiches, tasty treats and dainty cakes, unlimited tea, coffee and squash.

The Snow Queen and Rapunzel will personally visit your table for a magical one-to-one experience.

Each Princess will also give a special live performance of their well-known song.

There are also autograph and photo opportunities by the flower wall, and each child will receive a special gift from the Princesses to take home.

On Saturday, October 14, The Lyric Rooms has a Harry Potter Entertainment Evening with Luna Lovegood, where Ashby venue will be transformed into Hogwarts great hall.

It features a real owl meet and greet with Luna, a Harry Potter Quiz with prizes, potion making, a scavenger hunt, a magician as well as singing and a four course meal.

On Saturday, October 28, The Lyric Rooms has Octoberfest with the Strumtroopers - a multi-instrumental ukulele, mandolin and string-based covers band, specialising in irreverent re-imaginings of rock and pop classics from ABBA to more.

You can also enjoy a three-course German-style meal whilst enjoying an authentic range of award-winning beers, straight from the barrels.
