Ashby's 2024 calendar of events has been confirmed by Town Council

Ashby de la Zouch Town Council has finalised its list of upcoming events for 2024.

The events season gets under way in May, with the Ashby Arts Festival on 11-12.

There then follows the first Ashby Soapbox Derby, which is being run by the town's Business Improvement District.

On June 6, the town marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day in conjunction with Ashby Royal British Legion - details have still be announced.

Ashby's calendar looks like this:

May 11-12: Ashby Arts Festival.

May 19: Ashby Soapbox Derby

May 31: Ashby Street Treats and Beats, Bath Grounds

June 1: Emergency Services Day at the Bath Grounds

June 6: D-Day 80th Anniversary

June 8: Fake Festival at the Bath Grounds

June 15-16: Blackfordby Open Gardens

June 23: Ashby Steam, Scamhazel Farm

June 30: Ashby Sport Fun Day, Bath Grounds

July 6: Ashby Pride, Ashby Town Centre

July 14: Ashby Show, Cattows Farm

July 28: Jim's Tractor Run

August 31-September 1: Blackfordby Festival

September 13-17: Ashby Statutes

November 10: Remembrance Sunday

November 11: Armistice Day

November 30-December 1: Ashby Christmas Fair and Market
